What I'd do is look up the user manual and see which type of light bulbs the non-HIDs are and then just search up online. Start with Ebay or Amazon, I've gotten from them both and never really had problems with either. If you want bright white I'd suggest LEDs as they are low power consumption and bright, plus they are pretty cheap these days. Halogen bulbs can be just as bright white but over time they'll fade.

There's no good solution for you I'm afraid.
Drop-in HIDs have a ton of glare in the Lancer Halogen housings.
LEDs (mostly) don't perform well enough to be headlights in the drop-in style.
"White" Halogen OE style bulbs just have a paint coating on them that drops light output and tints the light very blue. Higher wattage units can burn up your housings/wiring.
I would suggest looking to do an OEM HID retrofit or possibly to use aftermarket projectors with a drop-in HID kit.
The most cost effective option would be to do a DIY projector retrofit to your stock headlights but it takes a bit of skill and a lot of patience to do a good job of it.

Can confirm the same as veronica I used to use the Sylvania silverstars in my RSX-S and they seemed to burn out every six months or so... I think its just the bulb.. and there really not that cheap either..

I was in the same boat as you and trying out a bunch of different "white" halogen bulbs. At the end of the day, I ended up just getting oem projectors/hid's and couldn't be happier. You could buy complete left and right oem headlamps w/hid's on eBay for around $300 each side (if you don't mind a few scratches)

These may be your best bet.

You can always fit better projectors later down the road unless you score some OEM units for cheap.

I have a 2014 SSS projector HID's. Just a little confused figured they were all projector just different bulbs between sight package and non sight package.

I always wondered why Mitsubishi never equipped ALL Evo's with hid's. I mean for a $35k car it should have seriously come standard.
