Police officer inspection for registration question
I bought a hood off a 2013 Evo X, I noticed the hood has no vin number on it, My 2008 damaged hood does, I know that from 2011 they stopped putting vin numbers on separate parts. My question is when the police officer comes to inspect the hood and finds no vin number will I be okay? Or will he ask for the vin number from the car that I bought off of?

I'm sure you're taking this to the state police to get it inspected to clear the title. They don't inspect that, the only thing they care about is if the car is all put back together and usable on the street. They are not going to inspect piece by piece for vin numbers or stolen parts if that's what you're afraid of

Thanks Alex, the reason i'm worried is because on my RX8 there was a problem with a vin because the police officer was checking if any major parts were off a stolen vehicle but it was just in a weird spot and it was fine.
