Keep My Ralliart or Go Used or New Evo?
#61
Thank for all the info you guys gave me. Sounds like the brakes do this a lot on Evo X's from what I've read. Might just be a squeaking noise. Not actually scraping the rotors. Rotors looked fine to me and brake pads I could see part of them without taking the wheels off. Looked like there was a decent amount left yet. Taking it to my mechanic tomorrow to have them confirm any problems.
Thanks again guys.

Well just got my car back from my mechanic. Said everything is good! Just had a little dirt and ice in the brakes causing the squeaking apparently. Just wanted to thank every one of you that gave some input and helped me make the decision to purchase my Evo. Thanks again guys!

Then maybe look at seeing how much it cost to rebuild your engine if your worried about the mileage on the engine? It just seems the engines on RA/Evo are pretty durable. Then maybe invest in some simple upgrades(exhaust, intake, coil overs, and a tune) to give the car some new life.
Just don't put yourself in a financial hole if you don't have too, like one poster said, get a house or condo or something first. Good Luck on what you decide.
* I can say in hindsight, I wish I would of kept my Mazda 3, for the simple fact it was paid for and drove flawlessly(8 years driven, and only 2 sets of tires, a battery and oil changes). Then again, I do love driving my RA
