Is the Cobb Accessport V3 something you really should have?

You just bought it so congrats on that!

Now, just get comfortable with the stock power, do lots of research and enjoy it!

Congrats. As for tuning my dealership told I can do whatever I want to the car as long as I tell them but as soon as I get a tune and mess with the computer my warranty is void. If you want to keep warranty I'd stay away from tunes. Unless your dealer is ok with tunes.

Installing mine today, I bought the V3 used. I figure this is a nice to have until I gather all my parts. I want to install them at once and get a protune. After that I will sell the V3 and get most of my money back. It is a temporary mod rather than a permanent for me.

I like the Cobb AP because of the handy data logging in a small package, the real time data display (boost, knock, etc.), plus it's what my dyno tuner loads their tunes on. I wouldn't really recommend the Cobb off the shelf tunes personally. I would get a protune, but these can be loaded on the AP as well.

I use opensource really both work good just more of what your tuner prefers or how soon you can get a tune and what mods you are going to do i wouldnt use off the shelf tunes maybe to get it to a shop but sure as hell wouldn't beat on it with one...

I dont know what mods you would have and than not get a tune ive heard mutiple occasions of ppl blowing there cars up with just putting exhaust on or test pipe risky business. All in all to get the most out of your expensive purchases getting a tune to top it off is a must. Just bring it to a reputable shop
