I can deal with that price hike...

Edit* I just finally found a Geico agent who knew how to change the car quote to Lancer Evo and its less than what I had before... It's another $624 a year. I can handle that - I tried looking at progressive and their policy for me basically doubles... Geico wins every time.
I'm with State Farm and mine changed by a few dollars going from a 2013 MR to my FE. Have you guys gotten a quote from State Farm? Should I be calling Geico?

State Farm doesn't do business in MA or Rhode Island I guess? I just tried to check out a quote from them. If I were you I would at least run through the free quote with Geico, it could end up saving you a couple hundred dollars.

Diamond White? Very nice. What are your thoughts on the Ralliart Wheel Locks and Fluted Lugs and Exterior Package? (FRONT, SIDE, AND REAR AIRDAMS, BRAKE AIR GUIDES, REAR SPOILER EXTENSION) Engine appearance package is nice eye candy but not really worth the price.

The one I'm buying actually has wheel locks and rear park assist sensors. The Ralliart Wheel locks/fluted lugs look better but is it worth another $90+?? maybe.... I think I'm going to just add Tints and the side window deflectors for now.

The price for the front air dams is $625 and rear is another $440 - the break air dams are $130. They would do me a deal and do at cost to them but then they would charge me $110/hour in labor to add them. I don't know that I really want to fork out another $1500 for appearance. I would rather spend it on engine parts or put towards a set of tires down the road.

Wicked excited to pick it up next Friday though. It's going to be a loooong week.

Here's where you can part out the OEM accessories. The dealers cost seems to be a little bit more.

I ended up buying US FE #855, I pick it up next Friday... The dealer had 5 on the lot and I was able to talk them down about 1700$ off MSRP sticker price to 37,495. I'm Feeling pretty good about it, who knows maybe ill be able to find a different DD within a year or two.
That's awesome! Congrats! I looked into getting a FE but I'll keep my 14 X for now. I DD mine about 13K a year & I love driving it. Taking the long way is so much better and the drive into work always ends too soon.

I feel the same way. I was thinking about getting a FE too but decided it wasn't worth it considering I got a 14 already. I could just go aftermarket for whatever area I want to improve. Wish I would of waited for the FE tho.

DD is not a problem at all. It even feels a little soft to me.

For the kind of money you're going to spend on the FE buy something better and comfortable. Seriously.. the evo sucks for a DD. Really does. For the $$$ you can get better and better and better. Who cares if you always wanted a Evo x. The costs alone in gas is a *****. The maintenance sucks ***. The seats are stupid for DD. This car has the dumbest sitting position of all the cars i have every driven in my life! Again, i own one and i love it but it is not my DD. You wont hear from me again.. But seriously... buy something better. Sry im on my phone.

I love this car... I did some de-badging yesterday afternoon when I noticed a small but deep scratch through the paint on the rear bumper. It pissed me off because I missed it before driving out of the dealership. It's going to bother me every time I walk up to the trunk.
Fortunately the dealership said they would help out and fix it... Now I just need to drive out there and get a loaner for how ever long it will take them.

Hopefully they don't make a fuss about removing some emblems from the trunk (including their hideous dealer badge).

Here's the little nick- it looks like a knife cut right through. Probably happened in one of their garages while adding stuff to the car.

I was in the market for an evo the past few years, I test drove a 13 and 14 gsr in that process both brand new. I finally ended up getting an FE and the suspension in my mind is wicked soft in the FE compared to those, but those weren't all that bad either. Idk what Car and driver is *****ing about. On paved roads it is not bad at all

Glad to hear you're loving your new FE! Beautiful car, especially in that Diamond White. That darn nick on the bumper!

Thanks. I love the white but I feel like I'm washing it almost daily. I'm adding some Mud Flaps this weekend, I hope they prevent some of the splash to the side panels.
