Car making a rattle

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqBgx_SbJD0

Car has been making this rattle at an idle and accelerating in 1st. To me sounds like something might be loose. Hoping someone might give me ideas. You can hear it at the 16 sec mark if video shows up. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a couple things that at least come to my mind when I think evo x and rattle...

It could very well be a timing chain issue, the video doesnt really show me much but if its coming from the engine bay it could well indeed be that.

I have had many customers say they hear "rattles" from the engine bay, if it happens upon start up it could very well be.

The evo makes a bunch of pops creeks rattles. If your not getting a code and its not effecting performance. I would just monitor it to see if it gets louder otherwise I wouldn't worry much about it. If its the timing chain you will get a code for it.

Man those are expensive for these cars to buy new axles. Maybe you can rebuild it.

yeah I would get a second opinion unless they are going to replace it under warranty or something.

I swear some of these "mechanics" don't know **** about cars.

Was trying to figure this one out myself. I'm wondering if it isn't the timing chain

What year is your car? If pre-2011 you may have the old style timing chain that can be prone to stretching

It's 2010. I've listened to it with the hood up and to me the rattling seems to come from around the lower part of the engine on the driver side. Have a little over 60k miles on the car.
