Bone stock Evo with new BOV?

Hey guys, I have a 2015 Evo X MR (not Final Edition) currently I'm waiting on moding my Evo till I'm finished paying it off my loan. But I can't get that sweet BOV noise out of my head. I wanted to get your guys opinion on putting a BOV that makes that awesome Pooshhh sound when changing gears on a stock turbo. I've heard it can be bad for your turbo and I've also heard it can be good. Has anyone ever installed a BOV on a stock engine that can give me some advice on whether this is a good idea or not?

Don't do it. Keep the stock BOV. Your car will thank you for it.

Switch to an open element air filter if you want more sound. Aftermarket VTA BOV on stock air metering tune is going to make your car unhappy.

Plenty of blow off valves that are recirculating that make the noise. If you want to go vent to atmosphere you'll need to change a couple other thing to make the car happy.

Don't do it. It'll most likely give you more trouble than anything.

Just buy an intake like ETS, MAP, AMS, etc.. and you'll have the sound you are wanting.

As long as you dont buy a bov that vents 100% atmospheric you're fine. I put a Turbosmart smartport bov on my stock X and the car drove just fine.

For now, I'd say to just stick with a high flow filter (K&N, Cobb, etc.) They're cheap, give you some slight gains, and you'll be able to hear the "woosh" sound a bit better
