Quick Install: AMS Shifter Base Bushing

Im not good with giving instructions, so here is a combination of pictures and words. Overall the install was pretty easy. Took me about 20-30 minutes start to finish.

Here are the toolsI used (Wrench, extension, 12mm socket, smaller wrench: for pushing out the metal ring)

Step 1.) Remove plastic covers to expose the shifter base.

Here is a photo of the shifter base. Circled are the bolts that needs to be removed. There are four of them.

Step 2.) Remove the four bolts. I used a 12 mm socket to remove them.

Step 3.) Once removed. Push down on the metal washer in the middle of the stock rubber bushing. (There is not enough room to show what I did, so i removed it from the base, and showing you the process)

I used the other end of my wrench to push it out. Feel free to use anything that will make it easy for you.

this will probably be my first mod, the factory shifter is so long and the throws are insane. How hard is it to actually get all the stuff out of the way in order to install a short shifter?
