I guess the advantage of late adoption can be lower prices now that we've pumped 3, maybe someday 4, different colors onto the market ;-)

If you swap the relays can you just drive on them normally? There is really no difference on what it does just all the same relays? what a dorky mistake to so happen to make the one that controls fuel to fail haha.

I just need it cleared up. I can put in the one for the front lights into where the fuel relay goes and simply drive on it?

Will getting a different relay make a difference better or worse if you have a tune?

Swapped with the horn relay but the horn is fine. However the car does feel better and less rough on the idle. It is still the black though so have to get the new ones. Do the dealers stock them or order?

I think it is sweet that Mitsu is selling everyone these relays to replace a defective part that is killing engines LOL

Can't you just bypass the relay and run the pump full voltage all the time? I would feel more comfortable doing that.

ive never had any troubles, though all my relays rattled whne i shook them, so im sure they have all gone bad. I went ahead and got a blue one and installed today. wont post results because its a "just in case" mod, for me anyway.

Worked switching the day time running lights and the fuel pump relay, no more day lights so my fuel pump relay was the culprit.

What I don't get is so many people are swapping out the high beam relay when nobody really wanted the day time running lights....I say swap the DRL relay with the fuel pump relay.....
where is the Fuel Pressure Regulator hose? is there a way to secure it better?

Wow these threads really saved me, my car has been bucking and everything around 3-4k rpm at WOT for awhile couldnt figure it out, got home today sure as s*** i swapped the fuel relay with the horn and it was instantly back to normal (mine is all stock execpt for stage 1 cobb tune and K&N drop in for now) so I knew it wasnt my mods. Also like I saw on here I pulled the bad one and shook it it sounded like a babies rattle....mitsu fail.

Today when I tried to start the car after work, it would turn over multiple times, but the engine wouldn't start. I figures it was my fuel pump, my fuel lines or just a fuel filter.. Well I decided to test this out because i also felt the car was kind of shaky around 4500k rpm in "D" and sure enough this fixed it. Before, even when boosting, I felt a lack of performance but after the Horn/FPR swap, the car drives new again, its AMAZING! THANK YOU!!

Uhm, don't all relays rattle? it is an arm with a spring and metal contacts...

Swap test is better than a rattle test

So am I safe to drive around with the horn relay in the FP relay spot? I have a 2010, should I swap them?
