How to turn off maintenance required msg?

X is telling me maintenance is required, the 3800 mile one to be specific. I'm currently at 1800 miles.. i think the fact the service light came on since i've had my car for about 4 months now (3800 miles/4 months). I'm not looking to change the oil yet and was wondering if somebody knew how to turn off the maintenance notice? thanks!

i forget the exact sequence but it isn't hard to figure out.

with the keys out of the ignition pull up the notice on the screen and hold the button down until the key thing starts blinking then push it again and i believe it will say "clear."

that may not be exact but i just mess with it until it resets.

Follow the "how to set the schedule" directions.. at step #9, when you're "shifting" through the available NAS/JPN/etc schedules, there should be one that says OFF that you can select.
