Nice write up man, I live about 20 mins away from Pegasus so I am going to go grab the parts now.
Did you use stock case vent locations?

Not at Pegasus. You can buy a pre drilled metal bar at lowes but it still needs to be bent.

Mine worked out well, mirrors your outside of the fact that I ran the IM hose on the right side of the dip stick. thanks again for posting this.

I do wonder at Boost if a bit of air doesnt push past the fittings where the hose is crimped down.?

it's really not that crimped. i think 50 percent flow. does not blow that much air pressure through the i.m. does it?

I dont know, I would assume our catch can conditions would mirror that of the IM so under boost, 25 or so psi, I just wonder if that will push past the fittings where the larger hose is crimped down over the tiny fitting.?

hmmm...some just run a breather set-up with their valves and just put filters although they need to be tuned with it if im right. i think it is just a blow by and not a full pressure compared to the pipings,etc...

hmm could be,
I know on the valve cover side there is just blow by, so putting a filter here would not be a problem, however, if you have any opening on the intake system your going to have issues i think, while I dont believe we have an opening I was thinking that perhaps under pressure (max boos) air might be forced around our fittings and past our hose clamps and out into the atmosphere, while this doesnt create a real issue with MAP or MAF its more of a partail boost leak. I suppose the amount of lost pressure if any would likely be so marginal its no issue..

I used the same locations but I'm thinking the valve cover side run is too long. I'm moving the can so that it attaches to one of the boost control solenoid bolts instead...much shorter run.

People do it that way as well. I'm sure it would work. I was just making sure that the can and line from the cover to the cam is really low to aid with moving the oil and the line from can to intake is high to prevent oil seepage.

Am I mistaken when I see that you cannot open the can? You need to put something inside the can like copper sell pad so it will catch the oil.

Also, when you are running a can on the PCV system, you should put some sort of check valve in front of teh can coming from the manifold so the can dosent get "boosted" which will cause the oil inside the can to blow everywhere.

I found a can that has the oild catcher already installed and also comes with a check valve and drian port. its simular to the Perrin cans in design. Ive been running it on my car for a while now, seems to work great. And prolongs the life of your PCV valve.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EVO-X...Q5fCarQ5fParts

its 15 more bucks and it works.
