Situation you referring too happens in small cars where people mount their seat belts to the floor behind their front seats.
Fortunately Evo has proper mounting points behind rear seat.
But harness bar is always a good thing. This way you can have full race Takata seat belts or something like this.
Also seat belts I am using have special stitching that breaks during accident, same as factory seat belts. That's something that full race seat belts are missing,
so believe me I've done probably more research on this subject than you.
And it's not my first car with 4 point harness.
The only thing is that you can't have nobody on the rear seat when you have harness mounted this way.

Read installation instuction for seat belts. Harness can't be installed when angle of rear straps going to mounting points is lower than 45 degree.

I finally finished paging through this thread to find the pics of the one interior that I saw a little while back. I noticed that some didn't come up because the photos may not have been hosted anymore..
anyway, I'm trying to find the interior that had the following (just going off what I remember )
- Double-Din screen
- Defi gauges on the a-pillar
- Relocated h-vac knobs
- Arc ti shift knob
- And want to say bride seats, but i think they were some aftermarket ones or the recaro leathers..
let me know if anyone has these pics or where I can find them

It is me. I just happened to come accross the thread title and thought that I'd put out another perspective on a dash. We had just got it back from being dressed up after fitment.
