delongedoug, you should take that plastic off, looks a lot better with it off, i did it on mine and gives it more of that "finished" look. also, can you imagine the weight savings if you removed the plastic

That plastic won't prevent anything from leaking. The seals are so sub par it would not hold anything in, and to my knowlege that's what the weather stripping is for. I just think it looks better and I have driven in horrific rain and not had an issue. Different stroke. Props on the car still, looks good

is there a easy way to get the top of the dash out. It seems to be srewed from behind and I need to remove it to paint. If anyone knows of a how to please let me know

Do you know how to change it? I found the cig lighter ring and the ash tray light but the ignition light I was unable to get to and I didnt want to start tearing my ignition appart and mess something up for a light, if you have a link to it that would be great
