Oh I see.now I may have heard wrong but I thought the water flows through the fender lip and with it being rolled flat it's gonna get stuck in there and that's how rust happens.sorry for the dumb questions

People are only rolling the rear fenders. If you reach your hand up under the rear arch and just feel along the body you'll feel that the body panels make a 90 bend that has a flat portion protruding about 1/2" into the wheel well.

When you "roll" the fenders your are bending this flat portion up so that there is slightly more room for the tire to fit without scraping the fender.

Either way, this edge runs along the wheel arch. So there is no place in it (rolled or not) for water to pool. And even if water did pool, a proper done roll doesn't damage the paint which is ultimately what protects it from rusting, as was mentioned in the post before. You don't need sitting water on metal to rust, so the paint/clear coat is what prevents rusting.

Could be a problem since they have a 3+ inch lip.
Also I have seen those wheels come apart, I would never run cheap wheels on any car due to safety purposes.

I emailed Klutch directly about the SL14, and was advised that only the 8.5" wide version would fit. According to Klutch, there's a lip in the inner barrel of the wheel on the 9.5" wide version that would hit the caliper.

I assume a similar issue might arise with the SL5.
