Dang no way a Canon G9???? Wow! I'm hella impressed by it. Haven't seen any shots with the G9 up until now and I was going to look into the checking out the D300...... but I think I like the G9.

Trying to find the creative chromosome in my analytical body. The geometry in this location makes wonders for the overall composition. Thanks for all feedback received so far. Positive and negative.
There is no comparison to an SLR in regards to high quality low-light pictures. If size permits, always choose an SLR. Entry level or not. The larger sensor is more forgiving in any light. Soon there will be point and shoots with SLR size sensors. Not yet, but soon. Till then SLR or tripod. {Camera tripod that is}
