man.. thats why i always wanted a 4 cyl over a 8 cyl.. a lot of 8 cyl owners are cocky.. i knew this one dude who owned a Mustang GT who called all 4 cylinders "Lawn mowers", yet he gets owned by all motor hondas..
these guys are the same, they are just hatin on evos.. needless to say tho, the GTO looks hot.

One of my good friends has a gto and we recently hit e-town together and in the quarter I ran 13.4 @ 101mph and he ran 13.5@103mph and his reaction time was better while my 60 ft was better. I have minimal mods, I wanna sign in on the gto forums just to tell these dudes not to sleep on the x, and that there is no way an accord or TL will walk my x!
(still had my old plate on the car from my previous car, I hated having an evo that said azn benz cause it's not)

Coming from the land of Monaro's I find it rather humourous that people go to the lengths to make their GTOs look like Monaro's...even to the point of fitting Holden badges...LOL

Is it common for people in the US to do that to GTOs?

i think its funny how they bad mouth the looks of the x. honestly the gto looks like a lumina lol and here is what the reviews say about this great american car lol

i like to call it the pontiac ghetto lol


The Good:
- Strong engines
- Large interior
- Rear-wheel-drive
The Bad:
- Below-average fuel economy
- Some Interior fittings not perfect
- Below-average resale value

and being a ex valet driver i have driven this car and well its complete garbage. handles like its on roller skates. and the same problem with every american car. exterior is ugly and un original. and interior is cheap. well lets say my viii had nicer interior than the leather decked out gto.

That is weird dude, you are in IL as well. I know where OGden Ave. is like the plate cover . 5 miles from me. 83? I was born in 83. Nice X and GTO.

While some of what you say maybe true I think you are a bit off on the interior quality. You can clearly see the Australian influence on the interior and feels less American because of that inside. Other than the stupid American looking radio head unit(even though it is blaunpunkt) the interior looks decent. The exterior is designed by Australians as well, it is not that bad of a looking car. The touches pontiac made really screwed the car more up which is why my brother got the conversion. You wouldn't believe how much better the Australian rear lights look in person on this car. Though that is opinion I guess. It also in my opinion handles better than most other American muscles cars like the Camaro and Mustang...obviously not better on the corner than the EVO though and nothing to gloat about on the corners.

both cars look good. put slicks on the stock gto and you will be in the mid to high 12's
