Damaged aero kit! help

So I ran over some unknown object, and cracked the front piece of my aero kit (2008 evox). It def will need to be replaced and painted. Can you guys help me with all the options I have for replacing this? Can you order only the front piece of the aero kit from mits? I also have considered an aftermarket front lip -- does anyone have or heard of the seibon oem replacement?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I will post some pics up tomorrow.

The two aftermarket choices I have found so far are the Seibon OEM carbon fiber replacement, and the blacktop aero lip. It sounds like the Seibon is actually fiberglass wrapped in CF, which sucks -- it would prob snap easier than the stock piece.

Is anyone aware if you can order the front lip only from mits? If not i'll call on Monday.

Hey does anybody here know where I can buy a stock bumper. I hate mine because of the front license plate. Those big holes look so bad.

im sure if you get a bodyshop to fill and paint the holes it will be cheaper than buying a whole new bumper

Contact a local auto dealer. Most likely they have a "Bumper guy" come around and repair their inventory. Contact one and see what he'd charge you to repair the one you have. Usually that's the cheapest way by a long shot. I just had the bumper repaired on my nine before I traded it in, and it had a huge slot cut out for a tow hook, and a nice chunk missing out of the bottom. Got it done for a couple hundred, and you couldn't tell it'd been repaired.

Same thing happened to me, It's cracked thru where the driver side piece attaches near the cutout for the intercooler.

I believe Russell from MitsubishiParts.net in Washington quoted me like $550 shipped for the aero kit lip painted.

I'm going to take it to a body shop and see if it can be fixed/painted for cheaper before i bite the bullet and go that route.

Honestly, if you wanted the Seibon replacement it might be cheaper than going through the dealer for the factory item. You'd be looking at only $399.99 Shipped through us.

I also have a damaged front lip. The previous owner used bondo to fix it but it has started to chip and looks horrible. I plan on replacing with cf but in the meantime, what is under the aero kit lip? Is it just a normal air dam bumper with that lip? I was thinking about removing it for now untill i replace it. If anyone knows, give me a shout back. Thanks guys!

I think this would be a good opportunity try something aftermarket!

The OEM lip looks good, but I think there are better aftermarket ones out on the market. Just my 0.2 cents.

the seibon would kinda make it look like an fq360.

aftermarket would be cool because you have lots of options. id say voltex!

Does anyone know if the OEM aero kit package makes Evo Xs sit lower? I know the rear spats don't, but I'm not so sure about the side skirts and front lip...
