Honestly when I did the research for a year while waiting for the official launch of EVO X in China, there are couple of JDM brands that catch my eyes on top of HKS Kansei, e.g. colt-speed, Jun, Amuse and obviously Ralliart. But in terms of completeness, average quality and price level, HKS stands out. One more key reason is here in China parts are difficult to order and with heavy duties. HKS is the one with most established network in China to get parts fast and "cheap"......

Just official launch end of Oct. Yes the road condition in general is very poor. Drivers, cyclists, bikes and pedestrians are all "crazy"!!! But I have 20 years of driving experience with 11 in Shanghai so I am more than OK.

Good Q!! The answer is not quite, esp in rainy days. But I used to it already as I have a pair of similar bullet side mirrors on my Mazda 6 before driving for 5 years. The key is keep your close-back clear enough then you are safe. In China there are not a lot of fast cars. I can manage to do it in my tuned Mazda 6 so this is really piece of cake for this monster.

I was amazed to see your car realizing China is so exposed to the tuning world that a car modded like yours in Shanghai is totally unheard of. You must have good connections for those parts hookup. Must be quite a head turner driving around in Shanghai! Can't go wrong with JDM bolt-ons for reliability and trouble free maintenance. Is there any tunning shops in China that has dyno tuning?
Im also from HK
Im also from HK
For parts, luckily I know someone, though indirectly, in HQ and thereby I can get and R parts rather easily and with discounts. For the other parts, I got them from Japan, HK and Shanghai (for those parts too large to handle myself).
For dyno tuning, may be there are some up-to-standard shops in southern China nearby the Zhuhai Int'l Circuit but not in Shanghai (even though we got the F1 circuit here). For real hard tune the shops here will bring experts (mainly Japanese) here from HK famous shops like Top Racing, Crazy Racing, etc. to help out.

Totally agree!! This bonnet damper is so refinely built that it is just like stock items. Be more specific, Colt-Speed one has special design at both ends of the damper which makes the bonnet very steady (it won't shake even you push it).

Thanks. This together with the under-spoiler and frontend/pillar garnishes all come from Ralliart.

RMB488K for Enkei version and RMB498K for BBS version. Difference only on wheels and the spec are basically the Premium-GSR version in Japan with the keyless system, Bilstein/Eibach, Brembo floating disc, etc. The audio is Rockford one with 9 steros but no DVD/GPS/HDD.
