New install: HKS metal catalyzer

The HKS metal catalyzer is emission legal in Japan, it comes with a certificate for emission inspection and does not trigger CEL. This is a high flow 150 cell catalyst to a 65mm diameter, fits perfectly with stock or aftermarket downpipe/exhaust. This is the same cat currently running on the 575hp HKS CZ200S Time Attack Evo X.
Upon installation, you will notice a slight burning smell which is normal for a new cat to break-in. The sound of the stock exhaust is slightly louder with this cat, but not by much. You would not notice it in daily driving. I am running the HKS cat with stock downpipe and exhaust at the moment. Even with this conservative setup, the gains is easily detectable. Turbo spools up at lower rpm around 2500 vs 2900, the revs build up faster and pulls a lot quicker towards the redline. Power also comes in sooner in partial throttle, the gains can be felt throughout the entire rpm. I do not have dyno figures but butt dyno tells me at least 15whp conservatively, you dont have to push the car to feel the gains, the range of power increase of this mod is definitely greater than what I felt from the intake or intercooler.
