My Evo survived a cross-country trip too.

The thing is, it only cost about $1000 for the whole trip itself, about $2000 for the shipping. The car cost $29,600. After every thing's all said and done, it will cost about $33,000. It would've cost at least $46,000 from the dealer. It's not even the Army, it's the Army National Guard. I'm getting the $20,000 signing bonus, and about $15,000 for being in BCT/AIT. So that will be (almost, because of taxes) all paid for. I also get to go in as an E3 I'm not getting deployed for at least two years, as I'm in the college first program.
But more importantly, I joined to serve my nation. The money is awesome, but I just want to pay my country back for all it's done for me.

*sigh* This car went 4000 miles in 9 days and only minor body damage. I have it here for less than 500 miles and I get this:
Side view mirror, below it, and all the way up the a-pillar. Sadly, it was unavoidable and it was the better choice =/ I could've either chopped off my driver side view on the oncoming truck, or slam on my brakes and get rear ended by the work truck following too closely behind me. It was a pretty narrow road and this truck came up pretty fast from a blind corner.
