Ever wonder what a HKS SSQV looks like taken apart.

Had to cannibalize some parts so I could have at least one good working BOV. I have gone through 3 HKS SSQV's in the last 2 years. They just simply don't hold up. I don't know if its the heat or what. This one had a piece of the seal on the inner valve exit stage left.

The gouging on the metal is a result of me taking the thing apart.

If some of you have a broken one that needs a part, PM me, the only bad part is the inner valve.

This thing is straight garbage. Why don't you look into the Works diverter valve that holds higher boost? I'd stick to something that's similar to stock setup.

Because it looks stock...and well I don't like that look.

and yes they are garbage.

I'm probably going to get a Tial. I've had one on my Talon for years and it has never given me one hint of trouble.

I've actually only bought one, which was for my MazdaSpeed6, which is the one currently on my Evo X. I had one on my Talon that I won in a contest(I.E. free) a long time ago, that is the one you see in the picture, and I was given one by a friend when he left the car modifying scene.

I continue to use them because the only cost incurred was the one which I originally bought. I simply cannibalize the parts and repair them. But now I am running out of parts.

I have had many BOV's over the years and out of all of them, have only had 2 types every breakdown.

Greddy Type-S/RS (Diaphragms dry rot after a year requiring replacement)
