Thanks for the compliments and criticism...it's still a work in progress. The best part about it is that I can re-sand, polish, and anodize as many times as I want and do any pattern I want I have some ideas to add more detail to the piece. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, but after hours of staring at it in my engine bay, I agree that it looks a bit plain due to so much surface area. Once I install my ARC UICP, I may do the colors to match that as well as add "Evolution X" in gold on the bottom piece.

I agree about the breaks in the weld, but the only way NOT to get that with Ti is if u do the entire line in one stroke, which is impossible by hand. I can always sand the welds down and make them look more even, but I kind of like them as-is. It gives it that hand-made feel

This may seem kind of stupid, but u guys do realize the color on the actual metal wasn't "burned" on right? It's anodized using electricity...just wanted to make sure lol. The color on the welds is a result of the TIG welder and argon, though...

I personally like the rawness of it...it looks hand-made...as it was. I will clean it up, though since I did **** up in a few spots and figure out a better pattern for the metal. The washed out blue in the middle doesn't look right.

The color is "inconsistent" because it's Ti, not Aluminum; every time you lift, the color turns gold because the argon cools the weld...the welds themselves are pretty spot on except for a few places.

What..the cover itself? I can touch it with my bare hands after driving for an hour. Ti has different properties than other metals, and the way it's designed, air flows underneath it into the back of the engine bay where the turbo is This cover is actually cooler to the touch than the plastic one
