How's it going everybody? Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ricky and I'm located in the Chicagoland area. I am new to the Evo scene, but been in the import scene for quite sometime. I currently own a 2008 Graphite Gray Evo X and just recently purchased it back in October after I traded my baby of three years to the dealership I bought this from. Just turned 20 not to long ago and before I get flamed, I purchased this baby myself without the help of my parents, thank you very much.
I used to own a 2006 Scion tC which I did a lot of work within the course of three years and had a sponsorship through Performance Autowerks located in Plainfield, Illinois and won several trophies from local car shows along with others and a six foot trophy from out of state shows. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this car. I learned everything about cars by doing a majority of the work myself along with the help of my uncle who has been in the import scene for a long time. Through the course of these three years, I've learned how to fiberglass, paint, and even just about cars itself, by doing everything. And I still may not know a lot of cars now, but I'm still learning! Isn't what these forums are for anyways?
Here's a few pics of my previous car that I owned:
It was turbo'ed and there wasn't too many around the area that had turbo'ed tCs minus Maria's (spoolme) who was one of the few that had one. The reason why I sold it was I needed something else, something faster, something AWD. That's why I chose the Evo X.
These pics were taken the first week that I got them, sorry I'm no professional photographer, so please be easy with me I don't know how to use any of the settings of a SLR camera. I just simply press the button to take it. Hah.
And a few shots with my cousin's WRX:
First day that I bought my car I put a HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve that I originally had on my tC.
Rebadged my car with the JDM Evolution X emblem and threw in the Perrin Shorty Antenna got annoyed of the teletubbie look.
For a Christmas present to myself, I got myself the Agency Power Dual Ti-Tip Catback Exhaust. I originally wanted the prototype that they had made that I saw pictured on sale at ERZperformace. I didn't like the cans, but when I received the package, I opened it and what did you know, it was the cans which was what I didn't want. So I gave ERZ Performance a call and made a complaint about it, and the guy that I talked to, I believed his name was Thomas, he helped me out a lot and called Agency Power and they said that it was the prototype and had to change the style because of the complaints about the style. I mean I thought it was nice and the sound of the exhaust was to my liking. Well I told him I really wanted the style that was pictured and he offered to give me 10% back of what I paid, which was very nice. Who wouldn't take that? So I decided to keep it since I already had it and plus I love how it sounds too. I was still kinda iffy about it after the install, but I kinda got used to it. So this is how it sits.
My other cousin who just turned 16 got his 2009 Ralliart for his birthday, must be nice right? This was a quick shot that we took.
And then we have a random shot of me coming home, ha.

Here's the exhaust clip I promised, sorry for the sound quality it makes it sound kinda of crappy. I'll post up a new video later, but this is just something for now.

Installed the TWM Short Throw Shifter this weekend (big ups to Maria for hooking it up!) These are quick pics I took on the Blackberry I'll get better pics soon.
This is just a comparison on how they look like side by side. You can definitely feel the difference between shifting, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a short throw. I haven't felt any others but so far I think this is awesome! Best $140 I spent on the car.
I also just got the Rexpeed Dual Gauge Pod, I got the AEM Tru Boost and AEM UEGO Wideband that will be hooked up, but this is how its gonna look so far.

Uploaded new pics of the gauge pod. Ordered some new wheels and tires. They should be arriving either tomorrow or Tuesday. I will be posting pics as soon as I get them on.
Decided to take off the emblem and gave it a cleaner look.
Don't judge my photo skills.

UPDATE: January 30th, 2011
Its been about a year since this thread was first made and I know I told people that I was gonna upload some new pictures, but that didn't happen. My car has been hibernating for the winter time. I picked up a beater to get me through the winter, but I've been slowly getting parts in. I've been focusing more on paying off the car, because I don't want to be one of those guys that has to part out his car because he can't afford to pay the car off.
My cousin bought me OEM Window Visors for my birthday last month and my girlfriend's cousin bought me a shift knob from Touge Factory.
And I wanna thank Lateflip773 for hooking me up with the Coltspeed Engine Cover!
I miss driving my car... spring needs to come sooner.

no one's first car should be a turbo 240 horsepower car, thats just way too much power for a kid to handle, most likely he's gonna try to impress his friends at school and crash into his high school lol.

It runs in the family, our parents had nice cars when they were younger too. Their parents bought them a camaro and my mom had a mustang. So yeah...

Yeah my dad has the cleanest 1988 Toyota Supra I've ever seen, my uncle has a 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, and my cousin with a 1997 Lexus SC300. Some clean *** rides for sure.
