Im the dude that finished 97% of these headlights
weap0n did actually contribute the remaining 3%. The HLs were sent to him with the RHS left unsealed.

Why?
Coz the front lense was scratched pretty badly. After a little tutorial that I sent Davo, he was able to open up the RHS of his halogen HL and transplant it onto his new modified MR HLs. It looks like he did a great job

And yes, the 2nd projectors are purely cosmetic.
Why?
Coz there is no room to fit a WHOLE projector in the DRL housing. I could have installed the projector forward to give more room but then I would have needed to fabricate a whole new shroud from scratch. I wouldnt have been able to guarantee perfect symmetry. The shrouds that I did end up using were from S2K (AP2) headlights. These are pretty rare and did the job nicely.

Lighting:
If you ever decide to paint your HLs black then make sure you go to the trouble of upgrading your lighting as well.
Swap out the crappy OEM freshnel lens for a ZKW-R (R = replica) lens. It'll change your beam pattern from blurry yellow to sharp blue. Looks so much more sexier!!!

This is how to do it
E55 projector (same as CZ4A projectors):

Very nice looking! Had you looked into S2K or TSX projectors lenses? From what I've seen they provide crisper light output and a sharper cutoff.

Regardless, that looks a lot better than a stock X! Great work!

S2K & TSX are not a consideration coz they both 2.5". CZ projectors need 3"

Ah, figured there was a reason. I know there is someone on here that retrofits projectors. He also uses an Infiniti FX projector, but cleans up the "fogginess" that lense has. I assumed the retrofit would also work here.

Had these for a few day's now. Performing perfect. Night driving viability has improved by so much, I feel like I'm driving a different car.

They have totally changed the look of the front end.

Thanks again mate.

I think there is someone that does this as a business on here. Unfortunately the IX housing doesn't hold the FX without major modification, as far as I know.

Extracted from my thread:

If the projector is trimmed to bare minimum, it will fit. I have grown wiser since fitting these. If I could it again, id do it differently and smarter
In a sense I will coz I still have to do the LHS.
