Has anyone painted the unpainted part on the front of the car?

Not sure what the area is called, but the giant black unpainted area on the front of the car. I love the look of the Evo frontend, but I wonder if the black would look better if it was painted black instead of the unpainted black.

If anyone has done it, I'd love to see some pictures.

Eh, why would you? It's what sets the car off from all the other Lancers.

Sorry i wasn't clear in my original post so I updated it. I want to paint it black, not match the car color or anything, I think painted black may look better unpainted black. I do agree that it is what sets it apart and gives it its look, it needs to stay black.

Is that as shiny as paint? It looks good but not much different than stock.

How does it hold up to wear and tear from normal driving? Any chips, scratches, etc?

I'm curious why you did it if it looks the same as stock?

Anyone done this but with real paint that shines?

And a damn clean job at that.

I want to swap out my chrome emblem for a burnt titanium emblem, but I'm going to have to literally make that emblem myself if I want that done

The GTR's front grill piece (similar to ours) is a shiny gunmetal color...
