I'm taking off my AMS test pipe tomorrow morning. It's way too loud together. My ears bleed. So badass though... I'm sure I'll get the same loudness once I put the AMS downpipe and cams in, but it's not worth getting in trouble for having no cat.

I think this whole loud issue is misunderstood. With the silencer out it is indeed loud but with it in it is very tolerable. I came from a Cobb exhaust that was very quiet to this one. With the silencer in they sound the same.

Like I mentioned I dropped 5whp up top from the silencer which is so minimal you can't notice. Im really happy with the exhaust when the silencer is in for the street.

You're right, its almost too quiet with the silencer lol... just paint that thing

in any case, I find it counterproductive running this type of exhaust with it so I decided for another system..

I can't see it being any louder than a Greddy Ti on a 8/9.

Also got a couple shots of the car on the dyno at RRE with the Tomei exhaust.

With the silencer in and painted black. It's definitely a tight fit!

I've never heard the exhaust without the test pipe in. When I had the exhaust put in the test pipe went on too.

And the loud issue isn't my biggest problem. I like the sound, but I know it's going to get me pulled over one day and I'd like to have my cat in so I don't lose my inspection sticker and get whatever fine there is.

I dont have the test pipe in my sound clip. I bought it, but I havent installed it yet. So far so good for me. I have had it in for a couple of weeks and so far I havent had any bad luck. There is no doubt it is a bit loud. However, its not so loud that I cant drive it without getting a ticket, especially on the highway. Its not loud at all cruising at 65-75.

I took the test pipe off and put the cat back in.

BIG DIFFERENCE in terms of sound. I can live with this sound level. It sounds like a very deep 4banger. With the test pipe it sounded like a V8 with an exhaust system. I had to granny shift to avoid the crazy noise.

So how loud is this system say compared to a test piped buschur bullet (loud version)? I had the Buschur on my first X and like this one alot just want to know if it's really "that" loud relative to another loud exhaust. Thanks.

Ehh it's not crazy loud unless you use a test pipe.
