You are better off getting the Hankook RS3 or if you can find the RS2 version.

The only reason why I switch to Hankook V12 because I hydroplane on the Nitto NT05 which scared the crap out of me. Plus I was getting really bad MPG with the big
as thread pattern which was also noising on the highway. Dont get me wrong on the Nitto Nt05, when the tires was new, the car stayed planted all time even with my Tanabe lowering springs. Best bang for the bux on the Nitto NT05.

Rear fenders rolled
Eibach pro-kit
Let me know how it drives. I got the exact same set up..tires and all. Love it but need to do some fender molding so It doesn't rub in parking lots haha. People constantly think im hitting other cars from the noise the tires make contacting the front fender liner. Also rub when i hit bumps on highway (road -> bridge and vice versa). All in all though I love them and the set up.

Hey guys, Love this thread as I want to run the 18x9.5 +15's on my WW GSR i just picked up.

I've owned numerous cars and have had lots of set ups, but nothing ever with this low of an offset.

Here is my question, maybe some of the guys that have had these quite awhile may know better.

What if any are some of the negative effects on the hub area or drivetrain with a offset that far from stock. It has to put to some stress on it, anyone having issues, what can happen, or has had happened to you?

Am I just being paranoid, is this car stout enough to handle it no worries.

Thanks

As far as I seen this is common on the evos overall. Going back to the Evo 8 to now the evos have been running low offset trouble free. As anything else wear and tear will depend on your driving style and road surfaces. I wouldn't worry about it though since the Evo is a well built car, you shouldn't have any issues. I plan on 18x9.5 sbc with 255/35. Not going 10.5 since this is my daily!

Some pics after the new tires. 18x9.5 +15 GM 275/35 NT05. Lowered on Spec-Rs at the moment. Waiting on a fender roll to put the AST 4100s on.
