how long to wait after panel paint b4 wax/seal?

Hi Guys,

I had my fender painted about 10 days ago ...

How long do I need to wait before cleaning (duragloss 901 + 501) and then sealing (duragloss 601 + 105) it?

Cheers
D.

i think you should wait for another month or more for the paint to cure entirely(for the paint to breath , dry and harden), sometimes it's faster when your painter has it heat cured so give your painter a call and see what he says about it

It's safe to wash with 901 CWC but best not to seal it yet , your clear coat should do fine protecting the paint for the time being , just try to remove any bird bombs/bugs as soon as possible

As I'm sure you know, new paint should be allowed to off-gas. The time varies with temperature, humidity, etc. As a rule of thumb, paint manufactures recommend 90-120 days. Essentially, in terms of paint protection, you're limited to bodyshop-safe LSPs. Nothing durable. Megs offers a variety of bodyshop-safe products in the Mirror Glaze line.

i will leave it as long as possible..

90 days is what the body shop told me when I had it painted after the accident in my last car.
