Dude this is sick! I love the wing!

 

I think the wing completes the X from a side profile in a better way as opposed to the 8/9. I always thought the wing makes the 8/9 look a bit bulky in the rear from a side shot. Its why I am wingless.

If I was to step up to a X then I would probably go with this route. Props for being the first to be ballsy enough to pull this off.

I don't know much bout the X cosmetically but is the wing a bolt on affair or do you have to drill new holes to get the 8/9 wing to fit ?

another question... how does the 8/9 wing look from the inside rear view mirror...? On the 8/9, it always kinda annoyed me that it blocks your view lol...

Hey thanks for the compliments so here are some answers and responses.

Unfortunately I am not the first, I found pics on here of a blue and red one. Always had plans to do this just never found the right time until recently haha.

I got my car with the low wing so this was not bolt on, Had to drill new holes and fill/paint/finish one hole on each side. I have "read" that with the X tall wing, the VIII wing only needs two holes to be drilled while the IX wing may need 4 holes drilled. I could easily be wrong since Im only going based on what I read.

From the cabin view, I know on my STI and the EVO IX the wing blocked some of the view. However on the X, I don't seem to notice it, there is a small line obviously, but even though the wing is new, I never notice it blocking any view.

 

Looks nice. I do like the side profile with that wing, and had seen at least one other X with a CT9A wing before (I think it was silver).

How much did it cost to have the old roof pulled and the new one installed? PM me, if you don't want to blast the info. Thanks!

You thinking it looks ugly is completely acceptable.

But for my personal opinion, wing will stay until a do-luck arrives. It might be a while haha since performance mods is the next step which will take a bit in itself.
