Yeah the cleaning part sucked, the scotch briting wasn't any better. My wheels really sucked because of the spokes.

I've wanted to do this too. What do you cover the tires up with?

Looks really good, btw.

Paint looks great...wheels look great from a side profile...I don't like wheels that bulge outward when looking at it from the front or rear of a vehicle. Just my opinion.

Nope. Not really needed for wheels. Plus if you wetsand the clear you would have to buff it to make them shine, and that would be a major job for the type of wheels that I have.

I was never a fan of the wheels, but they look good on your car.

i can verify! I've painted numerous sets of rims, and thats usually the case. they came out great! good work.

rust-ol = good choice of paint

I agree, 19's are the best for the X!
So you didnt sand them? How are they still holding up.

With sand paper? No. Scotch brite is very course so yes I did sand them, but with scotch brite.

They are holding up very well, not one flake or chip to this point. I have been through the carwash about 30-40 times. Just a note to every one though. Don't get tire foam on the paint for any length of time. It will leave spots that will have to be buffed out.
