Damn that does suck, luckily you didn't react like many would including myself at the moment. In the end, hopefully you won't have to come out of pocket for anything, if it's an apartment complex, maybe get them evicted....

EDIT - you mentioned driveway so it's a house, how the hell they hit your car like that?

You should park perpendicular right behind him in his driveway, with his bumper right where your damage is. Then leave a note on his car with your number saying you'd be happy to move your car for him.

This makes me sick to my stomach. Something similar happened to my evo 8. No fun at all. Good luck with the whole situation and I agree that you need to get pics of the grand am and plates ASAP.

Man that sucks, but look at the bright side, you found out who did it, most people don't have that luxury.

I can think of any number of reasons:

1) Their car was uninsured/under insured

2) They were DUI when it happened

3) They did not have a valid drivers license

THat's really unfortunate, but you are lucky to find that person that did it. And it's a good thing you kept your composure when you saw the other car. I'm not sure all of us could have done that. Good luck with everything.

So true.

I get a kick out of all the internet tough guys saying "If that happened to me, I would have kicked the **** out of that guy".

Then you end up getting arrested over it, and he sues you in court.
