I'm glad I could help open your eyes and make your EvoM experience just that much more stimulating I still have a lot of learning to do, but I generally do well at the track. I get a good 60' and can back-half like crazy! Being small has its advantages, but I don't have the strength to really power through the gears.
This X is quite a bit easier to handle though. My last Evo VIII was overly intimidating. It revved to 9k and pulled like a freight-train all the way through. I was... inadequate. I had a great day at the track on the stock turbo/stock motor running mid 11's, but once it turned into a demon, it was very much out of my abilities. The track staff wasn't about to let a 100 pound girl "test and tune" a 9 second car with no cage, but let me tell you I let that car HAVE IT one day in Ohio! Launched at 7 grand... WHAP PAP PAP PAP PAP!!! got slammed to the back of the seat for a split second, then SNAP! That was an axle. Still quite proud that I broke an axle though.
Needless to say, the X will be much easier to learn and develop skills. I need to get better... not the car. Before the VIII, I had a bunch of DSM's, but that black Evo really meant something to me.
Here's some good pictures and videos of that car:

That things is a beast with a capital B. Thanks for the link. That 9 second launch was just disgusting, lol, and the car still looks functional.

Sorry, I feel like I've been neglecting this thread. I've been glued to my Mac screen, lots of work to do!
The X and I are getting along nicely. I've put 5,500 miles on it so far, been to the Adirondacks and back twice already, about to head up again this weekend for Easter.
I'm a mileage killer.
About the alignment... it's been a real pain in the rear. Literally. We went to get aligned and realized we'd need some more items... so we ordered up the Agency Power Rear Adjustable Control Arms (more HERE)
And once those are installed, along with another oil change then we can get it aligned properly.
We have a few other "large" items on the way for the X. This car is certainly going to be sneaky!

I'll have more pics in a bit!

Finally aligned and I can literally feel a difference. I did kinda destroy the tires a bit.
But it's much smoother now going down the street. And some more goodies came in!!
Exedy Twin
Tomei Cams
AWD Motorsports Driveshaft
One more thing on the way, should be here next week. We will keep you posted on dyno results of course!

Awesome!!! I figured all that driving with no alignment would eat the tires up a bit. It's otay, though! Gives you an excuse to buy some Star Specs when the Advan's die!
What specs did you guys decide on regarding the alignment? I'm curious what kind of camber you're running.
