Great to hear you're starting to work with an X! You guys are only an hour away from me, so this could be good.

Knowing Em, the attention to detail should be exemplary.

congrats for the car, nice color choice

"
I honestly don't know much about these cars. I have my VIII and I'm quite happy, but I also had a few 2g DSM's and never wanted an Evo... so maybe I will turn to the darkside. "

you will find out this is not a darkside as i said before ... LOL

I dunno why people think salt is bad for the car, IT IS OK to have salt residue. The most important thing is to clean it, wash the car. I drive my car in every winter since 05 and I have no corossion.

And please keep the car stock, it's a nice civilized ride, don't take stuff aparts and make it sounds like race car.

why would a shop buy a car to leave it stock... I think you are missing the point.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! And thank you Felix, for vouching my femininity

As far as keeping it stock... not gonna happen. Because of the fact that we now have THREE Evo's (which is cool, but really quite unnecessary), I may be selling my black VIII to speed the progress of this and the 1G DSM. Maybe. So if my black devil is gone, the white one better rip all 4 loose on the street!

This project is going to be a very well-rounded car. We will definitely use it to develop new parts for the community and see where it goes from there. But no worries, it will not become an abomination of road-racing heritage and become a drag car like Ricer.

That's awesome to hear! Build a fast car that can do everything. If you do, it'll def be fast in a straight line.

Really? Even if you wash the salt before it rusts the metal, it still pits paint, and causes other harm to the car. If you don't have to drive in the snow, it's much better for the car!

As for keeping it stock It's a shop car, why would you keep it stock?
