STM's Number Ten (2011 WW SSL)

This is my first post in the Evo X section.

My name is Shawna, I work at STM. I've been on EvoM for quite a while, and have had the "4g63girl" tag for over 10 years from DSM's to 9 second VIII's, so bear with me Evo X lovers, this is going to take some getting used to! But from a business standpoint, Emery and I both know STM needs to start building the ten.

Emery wanted white, and the closest one was in New Jersey. So he hooked up his enclosed trailer and went off to get it! We were lucky enough to get it with the wrappings still on it! No nasty dealership snow brush, no salty test drives... right on the trailer! Pulling it off the trailer today, I decided to call her Number Ten. Emery can call the project whatever he wants, but I like Number Ten.

I honestly don't know much about these cars. I have my VIII and I'm quite happy, but I also had a few 2g DSM's and never wanted an Evo... so maybe I will turn to the darkside.

Now that the factory plastics are all off, I'll give it a bath, then, start updating with stock dyno numbers and then mods. I honestly don't know the major goal for this car, but I know my personal Evo was very well respected once finished. Still retaining full leather, sunroof, Brembos, A/C, Navigation, Subwoofer... 9.97@143. Street Car. Bad-***, Daily Driven, Street Car.

But we also have to consider where the Evo came from. It's a rally car. It's meant to be driven. It's meant to be enjoyed. What makes the Evo a better car than basically anything else is it's versatility, power, agility and these days, comfort. We want it all. And why can't we have it?

Generally, I don't do much typing, but I wanted to give some background since I've never posted in the X section. So, enough out of me.

On to the pics.

STM's 2011 Evolution SSL
4 miles
Heated Leather Seats
Sunroof
Fosgate System

^ The trunk shocks are pretty cool.

I understand the 2011 has things the older X's don't? I am going to go wash it right now and make sure there is no salt residue but if you would like a specific picture of something, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to post it.

We don't plan on taking this car in the NY salty roads at all, so I can't give any feedback on it really quite yet, but I did take out a 2011 black SSL and the seats were really quite awesome! Yes, I drove a brand new Evo and all I comment on is the seats. They are (as much as I hate to admit) nicer than the VIII... by far. The dealership people were saying how FAST the "Evo-lution" was and rare and this and that... yeah, we have 2... they run 9's lol. But GREAT people at Marina Mitsubishi in Webster! They have a beautiful black SSL in stock right now...

It's actually an "SL". Haha. Seriously tho.. that is a sexy looking Evo. I wish they had the leather option when I bought my 08. I know '11 spoiler is different. I parked next to one the other day and you could tell, barely. The sides of the spoiler are just at a dif angle. Can't wait to see this thing in the sub-10's.

See? I'm gonna need some help here. Thank you!

I just take the pictures.

But upon further inspection, it's a GSR. So says the window sticker.

After a good cleaning...

FIRST MOD: Nokya Yellow Fog Lights

STM sells them and we have a bunch in stock. I will update the Evo X section and get them there too, but the VIII-IX-X all take the same part number.

I think it's safe to say they will not affect the stock dyno numbers or weight once we get it on the scale. More updates coming soon.

They are very nice! I just spent a good 20 minutes rubbing Adam's leather conditioner into them and Mitsu really stepped it up. I know a base model VIII has some really cheap interior. The leather VIII seats are nice and the suede is ok, but I have to admit, this X interior is starting to grow on me.
