yea thats what im thinking too, still debating, i cant really work on anything until april 2nd anyways, im swamped with work until then...

there is no way to lightly black out the tails without the sealant looking really bad when you put them back together. If you black them out completely you'll probably get pulled over alot and plus it looks bad.
Heres my suggestion:
Great job on the lights, i blacked mine out too just not as much. Everything looks good, if you're considering ever getting window visors i think they look great on phantom black.

It looks nice. I personally, don't like the blacked-out look... although usually when color-matching the exterior of a car in general looks nice, but making everything black doesn't really bring out the distinctive outlines/features of a car (which makes an Evo stand out more from the crowd).
