EVO X Time Attack Build Video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMLdWZzGtHs
I've been stuck in the house all day, sick as dog! Frustrated and unsure of what to do I edited up a quick video of the crankandpiston.com Racing EVO Time Attack build using some photos and footage from the last practice session at Yas Marina. And before you read anything into it, we were running the car in... There could be more to come.
Just made a quick new one ....

Its not a monster, just well balanced.
For the event we are going to run at something like 340WHP/335WTQ. Because the car is still running on the stock turbo, 256/248 cams and an HKS Valcon it is almost lagless Which is awesome! Instant power, even way down in the rev range!
We did stretch its legs on the Dyno once, and got 380WHP with similar numbers for torque, might have been 390WTQ ish ..... @ 1.6bar. It could probably do more but we dont need that much power as I am running in a street class on street tyres!
We're not really interested in the numbers, its the shape of the dyno curve that is amazing!!! The F-Con VPro and Valcon do a great job!
Hopefully in a few weeks we will be able to release the curves and some more information. We're trying to maximize the potential of the stock turbo.

What I mean by "maximizing the potential of the stock turbo" is making the most of its lack of lag.
So rather than have a bigger turbo and more power, we are making the most of the smaller one to have a "low lag setup".
With respect to the power produced, we are trying to keep the turbo working in its most efficient range, which also helps with the torque curve (most important bit). So we are actually running quite low boost. We could get higher HP numbers, but it wouldn't yeild better times on the track.
