idk, its super nice and all. but to be offered as a package, with all those mods i cant see it being below $50k. the Volks, 2 piece rotors, AMS turbo back exhaust, bolt ons and tune. THey still need to make a profit.

Had my Evo for about 3mos now and modding these cars is such an adventure on how our car is going to be set-up for either rally, road racing, drag, daily driven or just for show. That's why there's just thousands of aftermarket parts for the Evo for the individualist to make their car of who they are.
This 311rs is more of a AMS sponsored than anything new to us.
Just with the upgrade suspension and wheel alone the car guaranteed in the 50's+

I like the car. It is a nice package. I feel bad for Ryan because he is getting beat up pretty good in the 311RS thread on the other forum. The one question that I have is how he is dealing with EPA/NHTSA regulations. Has the engine package been certified? And, changing the seats so they are sans airbags would raise eyebrows at NHTSA. Regardless, there will be 11 very happy customers.

Knockoff front lip? That's hilarious.
"Special editions" like this are always for people with more money than sense. They usually charge $5-$10k or more over what one could build the exact same car for, and all you get is some special paint and badging. I could do the same thing to my car and call mine a "1 of 1" omg who wants to touch me now? Is your car a one of one special edition? Thought not!

Easy buddy, at least Gates has good taste in sponsors/partners!

How exciting! Gates makes a deal with a few small manufactures, includes them in his advertising, and puts together an Evo with aftermarket parts. 11 cars are to be sold as a limited editions, as if there are more than 11 refugees from overcrowded mental institutions willing to place the orders. Great.

Maybe it could be offered as a package? Decent power, quality parts and a warranty. I'd say that is giving something to the community. You know what your getting and what it is capable of which is what some people want. Some people don't have the time or money to go through all the trials and tribulations of building the car. Personally I think it is a good thing for people to have the option. Could just be like the Mustang Boss or companies like Lingenfelter for a Vette your leaving with power and a WARRANTY. I think thats the key. I know I'm just a lowly Ralliart owner but I guess I just appreciate things for what they are. I plan to have a EVO I'm still young and got the closest thing I could afford to one but it's nice to know when I do I can have more options.

Looks awesome. Im not sure why people are bickering over price. If they truly warranty that thing like they claim to, some additional cost is certainly reasonable. Obviously it depends what the final price tag is like, but it definitely looks like a nice package.

Fair enough. Warrantied by whom and against what? AFAWK, the aftermarket parts are warrantied by their individual manufactures. Does the car, itself, still fall under Mitsubishi's warranty? Some of it, sure. Drivetrain, highly unlikely. So the 311RS is warrantied by whom? One Ryan Gates? All we know is there's a mention of warranty. I'll mention a bunny.
