Redo the roof
I want to change the color of the roof on my 11' WW EVO. I want black and don't know if I should have it painted, use vinyl, or some other option. Any suggestions?

Good point. Didn't think about ever selling my EVO, but just in case I need to, it would be good to revert back to the original roof. Just need to find a shop that can do a proper job in norther VA.

My friend has vinyl on his trunk, roof, and hood on his sti, and it's awesome because it protects paint and can be removed/reapplied. You can get it cheap off Ebay. Also, you could DIY. Good luck.

Vinyl gets my vote as well. You may get sick of the look down the line or change up your plans with the X and want to remove it. Vinyl is the best solution and cheaper route to go.
I see you're in my area, but I don't know many good vinyl shops around. Haven't looked in to it at all. I'm sure you and some friends could get it done easily if you knew what you were doing.

Just an FYI.
in my experience vinyl sheets are going to be to large on purpose. You lay it down at one end, and pull it on. Then use a credit card, paint edge, etc... to smooth out bubbles. Then cut the excess with a straight blade down in the grooves of the roof. Th roof is the easiest piece. Other body pieces get more complicated, though the technique is the same.

Go with vinyl, save money by doing it yourself.
