Yep. A lot of the stuff on the car is custom "one-off" .... intake, oil cooling system, turbo, fuel surge tank arrangement etc etc ..... Would love to be able to share a lot of it, but I'd need a few people to be interested ...... The main point is that it is all race proven at 50 degrees Celsius (122F), most of the stuff on the market just can't deal with that!

That ridiculous enough for you ?
Yeah I completely understand it has plenty of function , it better for anyone to put something that ridiculous looking on a car I just dont like the looks of it thats all.

Some photo's from last nights Extreme Super Lap Time Attack.

The car was first in class (Super Street), and was pipped to the overall title by 0.02seconds by a fully stripped Modified class car on R888 GG tires.

I love what you're doing with this car. The only thing I would do different is get some side skirts to drop the sides down lower to better seal off the underbody, and make that wing active. If I were to be really picky, I'd attach the diffuser further forward so the throat is ahead of the rear axle and also widen the front diffusers right out to the endplates...and maybe different canards, but again, that's just getting picky.

The exhaust blown diffuser idea would only work properly if you had some sort of anti-lag system to keep the exhaust gas flowing when you're off the throttle, otherwise the amount of downforce is too throttle sensitive.

Oh, and I would love to drive an F1 track...that in itself has got to be awesome!

What do you run for a turbo?

I luv all of it - esp that trailer...nice. The undertray/intake/diffuser - nice work. does that surge tank keep the f-con from shutting down around turns below a half a tank ?.... thats my issue...

Thats one of the GREAT things about the f-con!

I had the same problem when I first installed it, on long bends the car would pop and bang and huge flames would come out the back.

It turned out that what was happening was that the f-con was detecting a drop in fuel supply which meant it would cut the ignition to save the engine. The f-con then test cycles the fuel pump to make sure it is working before the car is allowed to go again.

This is a failing of the stock fuel tank. On long bends in excess of 1G you will starve the built in surge tank. Mitsubishi know about the problem, that is why the JDM cars have a different tank.

You can either replace the tank with a race system, or you can install a surge tank like a lot of people do.

Anybody with a stock ECU wont detect the problem and will end up running cylinder number 4 very lean with a potential failure..... as has happened many times!
