did you paint it because the resin was yellowing? or did you just want to be all one color?

Because the carbon fiber was cracking right above the tubular manifold due to the amount of heat my car produces. The body shop reinforced the cracks then painted it.

I advise anyone who is running a tubular manifold and/or upgraded turbo to ceramic coat and heat wrap their manifold AND get a heat shield made. SpeedCircuit is fabricating me a heat shield to go over the manifold and I should have a bunch of DEI heat tape waiting on my doorstep when I get home later.

You don't want the gold one that a lot of people have. It will work, but the silver "cool tape" is much more effective. It withstands direct heat up to 400°F and 2000°F radiant heat.

Nice Jesse, what else do you have to do under the hood? You're pretty much good there, lol.

An oil catch can sooner or later, but mainly just the heat shield. Oh, and I'd like to remove the pig tails that go on my injectors and just have them soldered.

My car is at SpeedCircuit right now. They already put the heat tape on the underside of the hood and are mocking up a heat shield as we speak.

Make a heat shield? The shop that is making mine will probably make a few more for others with the same manifold.
