Painting Prepping Hood and Side Vents on MR

HI: Noobie 2011 EVO X MR owner here. Yeah I did a search but cannot find much on this subject. If someone has a good link great, otherwise...

Anyone have a good way to prep and paint the white vents on the front hood and side of WW Evo X MR? As you know they are all whited out and I desire that black out look without paying $$ for CF stuff... and I wanna do it right the first time. Should I use a spray etching compound or sand and primer? Flat black or gloss black or plasti dip? What kind of spray paint: high temp or just black automotive? Anyway appreciate some suggestions. Thanks.

plasti-dip. super easy, very hard to screw up, and you can peel it off if you dont like the results.

That's incorrect. Only MR with the premium package has color matched vents
