Removing scratches on interior plastics!

Hey guys its my first post so try not to rip me apart! I have had a few interior scratches in my 2012 RA all over the scuff plates and door from people not picking up their feet. So i checked through some of the forums and couldnt find a cheap way to remove the scratches. So through some digging on the interwebs i found that regular vaseline works really well on removing scratches. So i tried it. Its amazing for light scratches and makes deeper ones less noticeable. The way i did it was just rub small amounts over the scratches and then use a MF towel (wet) to wipe it off then dry with another MF towel!

So hope im posting this in the right place!

And then the scratches come right back after the vaseline dries up. Besides, I'm not gonna keep a tub of vaseline in my car.

agh!
clean that vasaline off with wax remover!
take a sanding sponge and some 500 grit sandpaper
sand off scratches
buy a $6 can of black plasti-dip
recoat the panels
enjoy your like new panel

PS-really do scrub off the vasaline or you could have adhesion problems with the plasti-dip

Its been pretty good for a week so far (and over 30°C all week). But this isnt for deep scratches if i had some super unsightly scratches im sure i would go another route. Like i said though its just for the scuff plate area and one spot on the lower door.
