Those that bought Torque Solutions Short Shifter

I just got this. Do you know if it's supposed to be chrome plated like in the description? Also, do the funky welding on my shifter look like it's going to affect me putting it into gear? The welding is not smooth at all. Since the shifter rotates around the ball, I'm afraid it's not going to let me in gear. Those that bought Torque Solutions Short Shifter-q9lg9xy.jpg

This is what it should look like.

Damn those look like my welds lol.

Based off the other picture of the real deal it looks like you bought something that was made in someone's garage....from someone with no skill.

Yea, they look pretty ****ty. I contacted the vendor and the company. Vendor said all of their copies have the same welding like the one I received, so no point in exchanging unless I want a refund. The company said that's how it is now (in short)... The one with the clean welds are SO MUCH nicer, I feel like I'm getting ripped. I might just install it. Haven't decided yet but will decide by Saturday.

I actually like the Works, but took a chance at this. The cheapest I've seen Works is 150. Where did you buys yours?

I got mine directly from WORKS. I also got all the under hood bushings and console bushings.

for reference: http://store.worksmotorsports.com/WO...03_642.104.htm

it's an entire package for the evo x. you can of course, just get the shifter by itself.

Yea, it's legit. The vendor is an authorized vendor and TS didn't deny it in their email to me. They said I wouldn't see it after install.

That's the reason I bought it, because I thought it was good quality. When I got it, it was a 'wtf?' moment.

I highly doubt that's an actual torque solution shifter. I also have one for my X and it looks nothing like that. Return it and buy it through a reputable vendor on here like STM, buschur, MAP etc etc. That way you know you're getting legit products at a good price.
