How to show more of your fmic?

So my question is how to you get the look of the entire fmic on a EVO x like the underneath picture, without purchasing a new bumper? Do you have to cut away at the oem front bumper?

you pull your bumper off and take off the air guides....looks like hes got a 4" so it brings the IC closer to the bumper and he probably cant put the guides back in...with my 3.5 it was a close fit.

Yep. Just remove the guides as was said. I personally like the air guides left in place. Matches the intercooler core perfectly with our intercoolers.

With your 4inch fmic, the air guide won't fit anymore?

Ya it's very clean. I just searched "red Evo x ccw wheels" and that one came up. Not sure whose it is. I think it's from www.evoxforums.com

But I used it cuz it showed the fmic

Agreed, ETS FTMFW!

The 4" ETS works with the air guides and without. I know because I left them on after installing my 4" and didn't like it so I removed them.

I think it looks way better without the guides but only if you have a larger than oem IC. The stocker looks kind of silly with no guides IMO. The huge ETS looked claustrophobic with the guides.

And yes this is just a poor excuse for me to showcase my baby, I'm not trying to hide that...

With the air guides

Without the air guides (oh and some vinyl wrap haha)

I have the ETS 4" as well and the guides do fit but I will most likely be removing them as well

The guides direct air flow to the oil cooler. I remember reading a thread where they showed that if you delete them, you should get fog light deletes as well to compensate for the loss of air flow by no longer having the guides. They actually did a study to prove this as well.

That being said, if you don't track your car or drive at very high speeds it's probably a non-issue.

Personally, I think it looks better with the guides. It doesn't look bad without them, it just looks cleaner with them. I like a "clean" look.

After you said that, I scrolled back up to look, original pic seems to have a fog light delete.
