Evo X brakes
So I have been looking at the X rotors and calipers and they seem to be the same as the ix. So when the mr comes out the only thing that will be need will be a new caliper bracket. Also with 18"s on a ix we should be able to do the same as the x gsr. Any info on this go ahead and chime in.

Well same caliper type, as in it still uses the same pads and hardware, but the caliper itself has a slight style change and the mounting lugs are longer for the increase in rotor diameter.

The fronts are exactly the same, so you can use aftermarket pads in the front. I got some project u pads, and it fits fine. The rear pads are slightly larger (very slightly). The after market pads do fit, but you have to bend the metal spring thingy.
And one more thing. Compare to the EVO VIII, the brakes fades much less in the track. It must be the larger rotors that dissipates heat better. I wanted to get the steel brake lines, but now I don't think it's necessary.

check your source 1 more time on the caliper size ( not taking a shot at you) but I watched all 5 parts of the maint videos on youtube and I about 99% sure he said that the front and rear calipers are both larger along with the rotors. Just make sure. May not make a diff on the pad size though? They may have just upped the piston size on the calipers..

Evo X front rotors are 13.8" vs the 12.8" on the Evo 8-9 and Evo X rear rotors are 13.0" vs 12.2" on the rear Evo 8-9s. That is significant.
I have seen the calipers on the Evo X and they look bigger, I am nor certain if they are but they look a big bigger(can not confirm as of now).
