Curbed an Advan. FML.

Well, I was trying to pass an idiot in a BMW who was straddling his lane and the right turn lane, and I hit a curb with my front right wheel. Who's the idiot now?

As you know, the Advans stick out a mile, so it isn't pretty. I don't know if this sort of damage can be repaired, and especially color matched, as there isn't even touch up paint for these wheels. The spokes themselves are scratched up good, and somehow the edges are scratched too. I feel sick.

If you know of a shop in or around NJ that does a great job at repairing this sort of damage please let me know. I'd also like to supply them with a paint if Advan sells it. I'm hoping I don't have to spend $500 on a new wheel, but I feel like I might have to.

Mobile wheel repair guys visit high end dealerships regularly, particularly BMW dealers. You should seek one out. I've seen and had worse repaired to like new.

Oh damnnnn

Yeah, high end dealerships can machine out the wheel. Should cost around $150.

Good to hear, thanks guys. I'll give my local BMW dealer a call to look into that.

I'm most worried about getting it color matched but I guess I'll see what the repair guy says.

Hahah, I'm definitely thinking that now.

I turned as soon as I heard the scratch, but I guess it didn't take long for the wheel to rotate one time at whatever speed I was going. I missed one of the spokes, but apparently my reaction time wasn't good enough to miss the other 9

Ah, I'm so sad

Yeah, I've already been searching online for a new decal but haven't had any luck. I'm hoping a vendor can source one for me from Japan or something.
