Evo 8/9 vs. Evo X suspension/coilovers
So let's say you have a spare set of Evo 8/9 coilovers laying around.
Then let's say for certain gravel based driving you have an Evo X that needs to be higher off the ground.
What are the differences between the coilovers in the two cars, I'm curious to know if I can make them work.

The rear completely different. There is no chance you will get a car on gravel with an older evo struts.
Some rally suspension are the same as the older on the front though.
also keep in mind, due the stronger design, and much much longer travel which requiers a much longer springs for an example my AST coils will not clear the stock wheel off set. They will rub against the rim where tge springs are. So you need a wider track slightly to clear the longer springs. I did not experienced this before with the older versions. But a same time i didnt used ever AST gravel rally suspension on my previous cars

Rob,
Thanks for the input, good to know the differences. I'm not sure how my wheels would come into play anyways at 18x8 with a 25mm offset.
I may leave the ride height alone and run recce as is, but perhaps work on getting a skidplate under there.
