^^you will still have to get them programmed cause the car can only keep one set programmed at a time.

Thanks for the tip about Discount Tire. They do have a Bartec and that's where I get my tires anyway.

I just ordered the tires so I haven't got them yet. They said they'd do it for free (I bought both sets of tires there).

I need to go ask, I got my tires from there and got the road hazard protection too. I hope they can hook me up.

Grr! Are there any updates? Most people wont be driving to Discount Tire for tires any time soon. So for the majority of us, do we have a TPMS solution yet??

FTL: I contacted Schrader a few months ago and finally got a reply (from who looks to be someone very important). I don't have my original mail but this is what I received:
Dear Mr. Frost,

Thank you for your interest in EZ-Sensor™ programmable TPMS sensors.

The EZ-Sensor program is scheduled to be launched in October of this year with coverage for Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles and Ford, Lincoln and Mercury applications with banded sensors only. Coverage for additional vehicles will be introduced during 2011 and 2012. At this time, EZ-Sensor will not yet work in place of the Siemens sensor you have until the programming is complete.

EZ-Sensors can be programmed with OBD learn tools from Schrader, Bartec, NAPA and OTC. Optional aluminum stems will be available for the sensors if you prefer a metal stem.

Attached is a flyer offering information on the program. Although, please note that Phase 1 will not include Subaru as the flyer indicates , but will include coverage for Ford banded sensors instead.

For a list of Schrader TPMS distributors, please click on the link to our website, http://www.schrader-bridgeport.com/i...=40&Itemid=119.

There’s a steady stream of new business out there – let your Schrader team help you flag it down. Click your way to TPMS success at www.tpmsmadeeasy.com.

I am in the process of getting new tires, so I asked the manager at discount tire if he has a TPMS solution for me, he checked his 'new machine which he got last month' and says our car is listed.

I'll be going in tomorrow or the following day and will post results.

Edit: I decided against getting a second set of TPMS to save money, I'm just going to switch my stock ones over. But I will go over in detail with the manager to see if he can do it. They went through everything with me on the phone to order a second set of TPMS sensors and programming for the car, I just didn't want to pay the extra $$. But they are going to switch over my TPMS from my stockers to my new wheels for free. Just have to pay for the TPMS rebuild.

Seriously? I thought the fix for this is to just get your car professionally tuned and they can get rid of the tpms cel... So, your saying if you don't get new sensors for each set of rims that you will have to deal with the display flashing some sort of message..?
