Volk RE30s - 18x9.5 +22

Just picked up a set of RE30s 18x9.5 +22 from citytire. Those guys are great and they gave me a great price. Sadly the car looks lifted now and I desperately need a drop. I ordered an Eibach prokit last night but I have the feeling that it wont be low enough. Anybody know of springs that are lower? I don't really wanna spend the money for coilovers right now as in hawaii we dont even have a track.

Car looks so much better with the RE30's. Yeah I don't think that the Eibachs will produce the looks that you're looking for.

If you can be a lil' patient, an investment in some nice coilovers will be more rewarding in the end than just drop it in a little with a set of Eibachs.

Well the problem is I told myself when I bought this car it was gonna be a "sensible purchase". Thats the ONLY reason i got rid of my MR. I wanted to have a more "sane" car, which also means it should be able to get into driveways, over speed-bumps, and go to my favorite restaurant (which only valets and has a steep driveway ) Ahh i wish i had a second car.

bronze +22 RE's is def. something I would consider if I had a black X. And +1 for coilovers.

You got great wheels, now compliment them with a good set of coilovers. Even if you don't track, you can get a better ride quality over a spring upgrade. This is the first black X that I've like. Maybe that's the color I should get.

just wait for the SWIFT sport mach springs.

They should lower at least 1.3" front and 1" rear.

But if I were you, save up and purchase a set of coilovers

haha its not really a matter of "saving" for coilovers...I go to my grandmas house almost every day her driveway is pretty crazy. Since I only have one car now I kind of need something that can go anywhere without worrying of leaving my bumpers behind.

Can anyone here share their driveability experience with a dropped evox? I feel like the front sticks out way beyond the wheels making it hard to go more than an inch or so drop.

I guess you will have to practice a bit more with lowered car going up the driveway at your grandma's house..
