Assistance with front tire rubbing

Went to get my wheels test fitted and discovered that the fronts are rubbing on locking of steering left and right. It the front, the plastic liner has vents that are protruding out. This is where the font part of the wheel is rubbing. The wheel is rubbing against the rear liner when turned all the way in opposite direction. The wheel tire size is 19X9.5 +22 with 255/35 tires. The car is lowered to about 2 fingers in front. Anyone have experience with molding or modifying the plastic liner? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If its just a couple of the ribs just remove a little bit off of them... that or if the plastic can take take heat and become pliable use a heat gun and bend them a little.

i would take a heat gun and somethng metal like a pipe or something.....heat it up really well and use the metal bject to flex to plastic a little.

It will rub away, just give it a week. Or you can do what others have said and hack it or melt it lol

Hmm, and I wanted to run 275/30R19 on same size wheel. How about the back? Got some extra room? How much clearance for the strut do you have?

The back is flush to the outside. Was able to put fingers between strut and wheel.

i woulda did 265/30's personally. woulda given you a 79.5mm sidewall instead of a 89.75mm sidewall. Even a 275/30 would be a 82mm sidewall.

Just let the tire rub it away, no issues after a few days.

Thanks for the info guys. I will attempt to mold the plastic just to avoid listening to the plastic rubbing away. If successful, I will update the post and possibly even a "How-to".
